Alex Berryhill

Marketing, records, rooms, media, nighttime economy.

I build night culture - strategically, civically, and creatively. Much is public facing; most is behind the scenes.

EVENT MARKETING

I managed or shaped Meta Ads, email and SMS, social campaigns and launch strategy for these parties. This leaves out hundreds of local events I have thrown or worked on.

NIGHTLIFE INFRASTRUCTURE

Work outside the dance floor

ONE Denver / NiteCap

Civic work

As a director of ONE Denver, I worked on the revision of Denver’s outdated entertainment codes and helped design a nightlife harm-reduction program endorsed by the mayor and the public health department. Belonging to the NiteCap network connects that local experience to nighttime-economy advocates and city officials across the United States.

501(c)(3) / label / meetup

BlackSine

I run BlackSine, a nonprofit that teaches and promotes dance music. It is also a label distributed by Triplevision and the host of a monthly Denver producer meetup attended by 20 to 50 people. Its Google Ad Grant can support editorial campaigns about dance music and the institutions behind it, within the grant’s restrictions.

SECTION 03 / TWO NAMES

Artist record

techno / ambient

FCKDSKO

Experimental techno and ambient made with distortion, reverb and a loose idea of where dance music is supposed to stop.

Tracks have received support from Wata Igarashi, Takaaki Itoh, Ancient Methods, Joris Voorn, Pan-Pot, Alexander Kowalski, Noir, Marco Bailey, Secret Cinema, Dimi Angelis and Steve Parker. A JoeFarr remix received support from Ben UFO, Laurent Garnier, Âme and Tensal.

Live support includes Max Cooper’s On Being 3D/AV tour, Psyk, Claudio PRC, Christian Smith, Exos, Neel, Deas, Tin Man and Pig & Dan. DJ sets are techno. Live PA sets are ambient.

house / breaks

Aléx ho Mégas

Hypnotic house and breaks, released and played under a separate name because it asks for a different kind of room.

DJ support includes Axel Boman, Sofia Kourtesis, Hammer and Jasper Tygner. Tracks have appeared through Moskalus, Les Yeux Orange and Electronic Groove.
